Britt's in-between jobs float fund: $72.34

Commissions are open and will be indefinitely. So to start this journal off I want to say thanks to everyone that has commissioned me in the past, it just felt good to know I was at a place that my work was actually wanted. So for that little ego boost I can say nothing more meaningful than thank you so much.

Now the real reason for this journal is to say i'm in a position I need to start making a little money to put back. I had a really bad night at work the other day and now it's pretty much to the point of where I need to find other employment or i'm literally going to snap on someone or walk out. All of which I do not want to do. I definitely don't want to put my co-workers in a bad position with a vacant spot as we are stretched pretty thin (staff wise) as it is. Issues like this are among the other 5 million things that are constantly complained about and nothing ever gets done or resolved. EDIT: these commissions are building a nest egg for me to use for when I finally quit this job. A little something to float on for a bit. When I reach that goal amount i'll finally leave and get the best night of sleep in my life.

I hate that 10+ years of employment have to end like this but there just comes a point where you realize that you aren't the person you were before you started the job. I know sometimes I feel like i'd rather quit even if it meant losing everything to my name because i'd be so much happier, broke as hell but happy.

So now that my little pity party is over i'm indefinitely open for commissions, i'm not going to beg or say please commission me, but if you happen to run across someone who's looking for commissions, i'd be grateful for anything, even if it's just a name drop.

If I had money, I'd throw it your way for sure.

As for the employment thing.... while co-worker loyalty is nice, at some point you have to put yourself first because you MATTER! And if you're not happy, suffering for the sake of others is just... suffering. Put yourself out there, see what jobs fit you and go for it. :3

Thanks, it sucks because some benefits of working here were nice but I've got to suck it up and be an adult.

Hello! ^^ Im interested in your sketch commission pieces, I'd like one done with these three characters, imgur.com/a/PmP6r ref2: imgur.com/a/IMvNf ref3: imgur.com/a/aFoNs

The silver fox, he's a goofy guy who tends to smoke a lot but he loves to hang out with people, then there's the purple jackalope female shes very doll-like and submissive, and the white wolf has severe insomnia, hes a bit demented and dom with memory lapses, but he remains professional for the most part.

Let me know if they interest you ^^

Clicking the 'order here' doesn't work x:

I'm sorry I haven't fixed it yet, a note would suffice in that case. The order here button more or less just redirects to my DA notes. ;u; sorry.

You know I've been at that damn point with my last job. It changed who I was and made me miserable and I was so happy when I was let go.. like I was all smiles and everyone was like see you tomorrow. NO N O YOU WILL NOT!! I really hope that it will get better somehow or you will be able to support yourself with art because no one deserves to be in a work environment that makes you miserable my bab!

and man 8V i will name drop u all day
actually if you are willing to take e-checks / google wallet i got a friend that commission me a bunch and i've never had problems that's always lookin for art ^ ^

I'm so at the point I wish I would be fired. My boss is a guilt tripper and I know once
I finally do find a job and hand my notice in its gonna be a big dramatic affair of
how could you do this to me? and what can I offer you to stay?

All I ever asked for is just to be able to take a Saturday off once in a long while.
(I work EVERY weekend) and no one will ever cover for me. But i'm expected to
fill in for everyone else at the drop of a hat, no matter what plans I have. No amount
of money would make me stay there, that's how much I am disgusted with the place.

Not really sure how that works so i'm afraid I have to stick with big meanie PayPal for
the time being. Thanks for the info though. Maybe if I hit a super rough patch i'll consider
venturing out into other payment types

Yeah but they don't wanna try to rectifying it before stuff happens :/ That's always super lame. I really dislike that when people try to pull stuff like that.

Man I don't think I could ever work in a restaurant type environment or something like that D: You guys really have to be a team and no one should be stuck picking up the slack 100% of the time

Oh echecks are through Paypal I should have said that xD it just comes directly from their bank on paypal so it takes a few days to show up but I get you. 8V You can never be too careful!

Yes, here all the crap is heaped between 2 people, me and another person.
So refusing to have at least a semi-reliable 3rd co-worker makes it where
if something happens to one of us, be it sick, or dr. appointments the other
is forced to change the schedule at short notice and therefore we can't make
plans to do anything unless it's months in advance.

Oh well if it's through PayPal I wouldn't mind trying it out. Every bit helps
I hope I can just save enough up that I can comfortably get by until the next
job when I finally gather the courage to take back control of my life. Damn these
retail jobs!

See that kind of stuff shouldn't happen. and it doesn't sound like there's someone above all of you that you can go to about it :/ that's just awful business. i know what it's like getting the short stick on time off. even if you do plan a long time ahead people put their requests in and workforce is heartless and doesn't take human consideration into why you need to be off work.  like i had to call out of work for my mother's surgery *V that's stupid

yas it's through paypal - they pay the same way it just takes a few days and says it's an echeck payment so if it makes you more comfy could always wait to start til they send it but it's my friend InfernalDaemon tho <3 they are very nice and they're super patient too man 8V they make commissions so not stressful for me haha

8V i would love to quit and just do art but it's just not possible right now

Yea it's family owned, so while it has more leeway as opposed to corporate
you're at the mercy of the owner. Who is the penny pincher that refuses to have
reliable working equipment and staff. Quitting may turn out to be the biggest
mistake I ever make, but it's a chance i'll gladly take. :)
